The New Samsung QLED TV – It Will Change Your Interiors Game!
I’ve always had a love hate relationship with TVs. Love the fact that I can spend hours watching my favourite TV shows but hate the impact it can have on the overall interiors.
Yes the dreaded black box that fills a void in any room. For the interiors stylist in me walking into my living room and seeing that big black empty space makes my heart sink. I only have my husband to blame.
Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time I went away on a press trip and my husband decided to surprise me with a gift. How romantic I hear you say, but no! A gift that really was far more of interest to him than to myself, welcome the 55 inch TV into our lives! Shock horror on my face is an understatement. How could he be so inconsiderate of our surroundings! So there you have it, while I really enjoy watching my all time favourite shows on a TV that gives me all the cinematic feels, it’s still a corner that I hate when it is switched off. They say time is healer but on this case it’s more about avoiding that particular corner in your home.
Ok so I may seem a little melodramatic, but what about a TV that takes into your account your surroundings? Well welcome to the all new Samsung QLED that has kindly answered my prayers.
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to attend the exclusive press conference in New York for the unveiling of the fabulous new Samsung QLED TV. Now I am not one to absorb all of the technical details however I was very much taken by the actual design and the introduction to Ambient mode – It can play music as well as display news headlines, traffic reports, and weather updates. For wall-mounted TVs, Ambient Mode can mimic the pattern on the wall behind the TV to create a visual effect in which the TV blends seamlessly into the wall. This for me is the absolute winner. No more ugly black spaces!
Another bonus is the new One Invisible Connection – so kiss goodbye to all those ugly wires!
So there you have it! A TV that has answered my dreams! Thank you Samsung, this is a total game changer! Now all I have to do is convince the husband that we need a new TV!

I was kindly invited by Samsung on a press trip to New York to showcase the new QLED TV. All views however are my own.

20th March 2018 at 12:19 pmI think TVs have always been a bone of contention for anyone who loves interiors. We like to watch them, but we do t like to see them. Samsung is totally smashing it when it comes to solutions though. This looks amazing.
