Bedroom Styles + Win A Two Night Stay In Top Boutique Hotel
Creating a cosy nest in the bedroom is always top of the list when it comes to decorating. Especially during the Winter season, I love nothing more than big comfy duvets, fluffy throws and huge cushions. Just the idea of being immersed and drowned in a big bed all snuggled up fills me with joy! I’m in the process of redecorating my bedroom and I am torn between so many styles…
Dark walls and strong prints always make a dramatic statement. I love a monochrome look mixed with accent colours via accessories such as cushions or prints.
50 shades of grey? Well there is something totally sexy about grey tones in the bedroom. Textured wallpapers are always so chic and having fresh flowers makes it that extra special. Who needs Christian Grey?! 😉
Gotta love a total colour and pattern clash! And it totally can work if styled right. Strong patterns and subtle colours with the right balance can look so dreamy, that you wont be able to leave the bedroom!
A dark and moody palette can always work so well in the bedroom. It’s the one place where sombre lighting can be totally acceptable for creating a cosy ambiance. Add some textures and a grand chandelier for an instant luxurious feel.
Then for something totally opposite, Scandinavian chic at its best. Totally love a light minimal look, sometimes it really is true when they say that ‘less is more’. If you are after a bright and airy room then this look is for you!
It’s always fun to play with different styles and I like having the option to be versatile in the bedroom – with interiors I mean 😉 I’m (like with most things) still indecisive with what style I will opt for. However the one thing I know for sure that the most important item for me in the bedroom is the mattress. It’s all about comfort and I am particularly intrigued by ‘The Smith’ by Swoon Editions, the mattress found in top boutique hotels.
Debbie Williamson, Co-founder, Swoon Editions goes on to say ‘I asked James Lohan, founder of Mr & Mrs Smith, to single out the hotel where he experienced his best ever night’s sleep. As sheer coincidence would have it, the mattress in the hotel he picked out was made by the same mattress maker as mine. It was meant to be!
I’m really curious to give it a go and it’s great that Swoon Editions will let you sleep on the Smith for 100 nights so you can really get to know it. If you’re not 100% happy with it, they’ll collect it free of charge and give you a full refund.
Competition Time
However why not try your luck with their latest competition. Swoon Editions has got together with luxury hotel The George in Rye, to offer one lucky couple a two-night stay in one of their top rooms. You’ll enjoy two blissful nights’ sleep on their brand new Smith mattress – designed in collaboration with boutique hotel experts, Mr & Mrs Smith. Make sure to click here for a chance in winning this fantastic prize. Good luck!
PS. Which one is your favourite bedroom style? Would love to know.
