As Summer evenings come to an end it’s always a struggle to let go of the season. The idea of shorter days and getting back to regular routines doesn’t thrill me but the one thing that you take away are these cherished moments you’ve spent with your close friends.

The other night we spent an evening at Castello Aghinolfi in Montignoso. This pretty castle stands on an isolated hill, on the slopes of the Apuan Alps with mesmerising views over the mediterranean sea. There you can have an aperitivo and dinner with a choice of wines to choose from and typical Tuscan snacks. All overlooking the sunset and taking in the views amidst the rustic outdoor decor.

It’s moments like this that you appreciate the small things in life and obviously good food & wine! Here’s to more evenings like these!
