Real Homes: Kate Huband
Today’s feature on real homes comes from Kate Huband who gives us a peek into her retro style. Kate used to work in the art department in the film industry but gave it up a few years ago and decided that she would like to try her skills within the world of interiors which would hopefully fit better around her family. So far so good, as she is currently working on her final projects at KLC. Here we get to see her completed renovation of her 70’s detached house, which she has extended considerably. Kate has obviously favoured the 50/60/70’s retro look with a modern twist throughout. The attention to detail is great and when I saw her dining room I was blown away. I love everything about this, the light fittings are sublime, the mirror is perfect complementing the whole look and the table and those chairs are pretty special. The curtain fabric is also great as it really accentuates those fabulous pendants. I really love her furniture selection in her living room too, it has so much personality.
Thanks Kate for sharing these with us and good luck with the course, judging by these images, you’re going to be just fine!
